The Challenge

Cancer patients face long and invasive treatments, with high levels of anxiety and pain. The Oncology Department at Careggi was looking for a non-pharmacological, effective, and sustainable approach to improve patients experience during chemotherapy and infusion therapies.

Cancer patients face long and invasive treatments, with high levels of anxiety and pain. The Oncology Department at Careggi was looking for a non-pharmacological, effective, and sustainable approach to improve patients’ experience during chemotherapy and infusion therapies.

An immediate tool was needed, one that could be integrated into existing clinical workflows and positively received by both patients and healthcare staff.

Our Strategy

We introduced Lemo, our therapeutic virtual reality platform, alongside patients during sessions. Immersive experiences such as Telly's Bubbles and Rabbits Playground guide the patient through calm, engaging environments, reducing the sense of time and discomfort.
