The Challenge

The Oncological Day Hospital of Candiolo welcomes patients undergoing chemotherapy every day, many of whom face repeated cycles. Infusions are long sessions, often filled with anticipatory anxiety. In an institute entirely dedicated to oncology, the quality of the care experience is as much of a priority as the clinical quality of the treatment.

The department was looking for a non-pharmacological intervention that would respect the dignity of the cancer patient and integrate into the highly specialized context of Candiolo, without modifications to the protocols in use.

Our strategy

We introduced LEMO to the Oncology Day Hospital with a structured onboarding process for the entire nursing team. Immersive experiences accompany patients throughout their session, reducing their perception of time. Its use has been consolidated: patients ask for the headset, and staff offer it as part of their routine.
