The way a child experiences their first encounter with a needle, a visit, or a minor medical procedure can affect their relationship with self-care for years. In this webinar, we analyze the physiological principles underlying the stress response and perceived pain, to understand how virtual reality can intervene during the most delicate moments and help prevent the formation of a real trauma.
Through the discussion between Alessandro Napoli, Luca Pianigiani, and Giorgio Cameli, we explore the decisive role of the first clinical experience: from evidence in psychology and dentistry to the concrete applications of VR in pediatric wards, to accompany children and families with safe, measurable, and truly effective tools.
